Dr. Jagat Kumar Shrestha is an Honorary Consultant. He has agreed to provide services free of costs in the area of civil engineering, particularly, tourism and hill infrastructure. Currently, he is an Associate Professor of Civil Engineering at Pulchowk Campus and the Director at the Center for Infrastructure Development Studies, Institute of Engineering (IOE), Tribhuvan University (TU). He completed a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the IOE. He holds master’s degrees in structural engineering, Management, and Economics from TU. He obtained Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from the University of Aveiro, Portugal. He has 28 years of academic and professional experience in civil engineering. He has been supervising the thesis works of Ph.D. and graduate students. He was the Assistant Dean at the IOE. He is an Associate Academician at the Nepal Academy of Science and Technology. He also served as the Deputy Head of the Civil Engineering Department. Dr. Shrestha is the Founder Member and the former President of the Structural Engineers’ Association Nepal. He has authored a number of books, published research papers in renowned international and national journals.
