MASTER PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS

  • All courses will be run as guided study combined with project-based learning.
  • Other requirements :-
  • Paper suitable for publication in peer reviewed journal assessed by the examination committee.
  • Thesis defense is permitted only after completion of thesis requirements.

Course Structure for the Master’s Program in Forest Biomaterials Science and Engineering

  1. Core courses (4 credit hours each)     (Courses-3*)(Proposed Credit-12)(Percentage-26%)
  2. Open elective (specialty major)           (Courses-0)(Proposed Credit-)(Percentage-0%)
  3. Mandatory non-credit courses             (Courses-3*)(Proposed Credit-0)
  4. Thesis (independent research work with supervision)**   (Proposed Credit-38)(Percentage-76%)

* Advanced topics in sustainable bio-based products (invited lecture series)

**Thesis work is initiated from the first year and completed in the second year.

A degree from the following majors are considered acceptable.

• Computer Science (for modeling and AI and data analytics type of projects)

Both master and PhD programs will admit students with academic backgrounds from a wide range of disciplines. Master program requires applicants to have obtained a bachelor degree, while PhD program requires applicants to have obtained a master degree previously. A degree from these majors are considered acceptable.
