Graduate Study at MBUST
At MBUST, we offer multi-disciplinary graduate programs that bridge academia and the economy. Our mission is to tackle everyday challenges through research, innovation, and practical solutions.
Teaching and research at the university are driven by real-world industry needs and delivered through specialized institutes focused on key economic sectors. Students collaborate closely with industry partners, engaging in projects that develop innovative technologies with direct benefits for both industry and society.
This hands-on, solution-oriented approach prepares our graduates to be more than “job seekers.” They emerge as innovators and “job creators,” ready to lead change and drive progress.
MBUST offers:
Research-based Master of Applied Science (MAS) degrees – a two-year program where students focus primarily on research, after completing their core coursework in the first semester.
Defined research pathways – research topics and supervisors (both national and international) are assigned in the first semester to ensure early clarity and direction.
Interdisciplinary learning – by breaking conventional subject silos, MBUST encourages cross-pollination of ideas across diverse fields.
Full-time, research-focused study – students are expected to fully immerse themselves in research and academic work, producing impactful outcomes within two years.
A productive learning environment in Chitlang – graduate students are encouraged to reside in Chitlang, making the most of their time in a setting designed for innovation and discovery.
